On a whim today, Googled a very good band that I hadn’t given much thought to lately, The Legendary Jim Ruiz Group. What I found was this great story about his incredibly heartbreaking life. I knew the broad strokes before, but man‚Äîit changes the way I’ll listen to the album. Beyond that, the article is a good who’s who of the Minneapolis underground music scene in the 80′s, if you’re into that sort of thing.
